Answers for the people who sign off
31 direct questions CEOs and CFOs ask us — about value, cost, security, adoption, and how AI changes the way you run the business.
Value & decisions
What does mykpis.ai actually do for me as a CEO or CFO?
It turns a plain-English question — “where are we losing margin this quarter?” — into a live dashboard or report built on your own data, in seconds. You get the answer the moment you need it, without waiting on a BI queue or learning a query tool.
How is this different from the BI dashboards we already have?
Traditional BI gives you fixed dashboards someone built weeks ago for last quarter’s questions. mykpis.ai answers the new question you have right now, then lets you refine it conversationally. The dashboard isn’t the product — the answer is.
How fast can I actually get an answer?
Seconds for most questions, once your sources are connected. The first board for a new question appears about as fast as you can read it — the demo on our home page reflects the real experience, not a sped-up marketing reel.
Will this help me run a sharper board or leadership meeting?
Yes. You can answer the “can you pull that number?” questions live in the room instead of logging them as follow-ups. Decisions that used to wait a week for a report happen before the meeting ends.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Anything your data can answer: revenue by segment, cash runway, margin by product, AR aging, utilization, churn, pipeline coverage. If you’d ask a strong analyst for it, you can ask mykpis.ai for it.
Do I need to know which report I want before I start?
No. You start with the question in your head, see the answer, then refine — “now just the underperformers,” “compare to last year,” “which region drove that?” It’s a conversation, not a form to fill out.
Cost & ROI
What’s the ROI story for a CFO?
The return shows up as analyst hours reclaimed, faster decisions, and problems caught earlier. If your team spends days each month assembling the same management reports, eliminating that recurring effort is usually the first and clearest payback.
How is it priced?
Pricing is tailored to your data sources and team size, and we’re transparent about what drives it so there are no surprises on the invoice. Book a demo and we’ll scope a quote to your environment.
Do we need to hire a data team to get value?
No — that’s the point. mykpis.ai is built so business and finance leaders get answers without a dedicated BI or data-engineering hire. If you already have analysts, it makes them faster rather than replacing them.
What’s the real cost beyond the subscription?
Mainly the time to connect your sources, measured in days rather than a multi-quarter implementation. There’s no data-warehouse build required before you get your first answer.
How do we measure whether it’s working?
Track time-to-answer for recurring questions, the volume of ad-hoc report requests your team no longer fulfills, and how often decisions are made on current vs. stale data. We can help you baseline these in the first month.
Data, security & governance
Where does our data live? Does it leave our control?
Your data stays in your own tenant and sources under your governance — mykpis.ai reads what you connect and honors the access rules you set. It isn’t pooled with other customers or used to train anything.
Is it secure enough for a regulated business?
It’s designed to be HIPAA- and CMMC-ready and SOC 2–aligned, with governed, role-based access so people see only what they’re entitled to. Bring your security and compliance teams to the demo — those questions are welcome.
Can different people see different numbers based on their role?
Yes. Row-level, role-based access means a regional manager sees their region, finance sees the full picture, and sensitive figures stay restricted — the same question returns role-appropriate answers.
How accurate are the answers? Can I trust them for board reporting?
Answers come from your own connected, governed sources — not a model’s guess — and every number traces back to where it came from. You control the definitions, so “revenue” means exactly what your finance team says it means.
What about AI “hallucinations”?
mykpis.ai uses AI to understand your question and assemble the right view; the numbers come from your data, not generated text. The AI translates intent into a query against governed sources — it doesn’t invent figures.
Who owns the data and the insights?
You do. Your data is yours, and the metrics, definitions, and reports you build stay yours.
Implementation & adoption
How long until we’re up and running?
Days, not months. You connect your sources, we map your key metrics, and you’re asking questions — there’s no multi-quarter data-warehouse project gating the first answer.
What systems does it connect to?
The systems that run your business — ERP, accounting, CRM, and the operational tools specific to your industry. Bring your stack to a demo and we’ll confirm the connectors.
Will my team actually adopt it?
Adoption tends to be high because there’s nothing to learn — if you can type a question, you can use it. No query language, no report-builder training, and no waiting on someone else to run it.
What if our data is messy?
Most businesses’ data is messy — laggards, gaps, exceptions. mykpis.ai is built to surface those honestly (the underperformers, not just the wins), and we help nail down the metric definitions during setup.
Does it replace our analysts or our existing tools?
It augments them. Analysts spend less time assembling routine reports and more on the hard questions, and your systems of record stay where they are — mykpis.ai reads from them rather than replacing them.
AI & your role
How is AI actually going to change my job as a CEO?
It compresses the distance between a question and a defensible answer, so you spend less time waiting for information and more time deciding and leading. The advantage shifts to the leaders who ask better questions, faster.
How will AI change the CFO role specifically?
Finance moves from assembling the numbers to interrogating them — less time closing and formatting, more on forward-looking analysis, scenario planning, and steering. The monthly report becomes a live conversation.
Should I worry that AI will make poor decisions for us?
mykpis.ai doesn’t decide for you — it gets you the right information faster and keeps you in control of definitions and access. The judgment stays human; the grunt work doesn’t.
We’re not an “AI company” — is this too early for us?
This is how you adopt AI without becoming an AI company: a practical tool that answers real business questions on day one. You don’t need a data-science team or an AI strategy deck to get value.
How do I get ahead of competitors who are adopting AI?
Start with decisions, not technology. Identify the questions that cost you the most when they’re answered late, and make those instant — that’s a concrete edge competitors feel before they can see it.
Industry-specific
Manufacturing: can I see OEE and schedule attainment by line without waiting for a report?
Yes. Ask for OEE by line, worst first, and you’ll see which lines lost the schedule to downtime before the morning stand-up ends — then drill in or set an alert so it surfaces automatically next time.
Healthcare: can we spot which payers are driving denials and rework?
Yes. Pull denial rates by payer and overlay rework hours to see which payers are quietly costing you the most, so you can act before the quarter closes instead of after.
Professional services & accounting: how do I find where we’re leaking margin?
Ask for realization or utilization by service line or team, lowest first, and surface the practices quietly writing off margin — the ones a quarterly average would bury.
Field services & construction: can I see which jobs or crews are losing money?
Yes. Ask for margin by job or crew and see the money-losers and the teams sitting on the bench, instead of finding out at month-end close when it’s too late to fix.
